Mario Bermúdez Gil
Mario Bermúdez, born in Spain, discovered dance at the age of 20. He studied from 2008-2010 at the Centro Andaluz de Danza in Sevilla, and relocated to New York City in 2010 where he danced with Jennifer Muller and Andrea Miller's Gallim Dance. From 2012-2016, Mario danced with Batsheva Dance Company performing work by Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Hofesh Shechter, and Roy Assaf. In 2016 he left to start his own company Marcat Dance. In one year since its founding, Mario Bermudez Gil received Top 25 To Watch from Dance Magazine, 2nd prize in Choreography from the Copenhagen Internatinal Choreography Competition, 1st Prize in Choreography from The Competition Contemporanea de Tetuan, and a Production Award from the National Company of Wales.
